LAVERGNE, Guy
With heavy hearts, our family is mourning the loss of our father
Guy Lavergne, after his passing at the age of 91
on Monday, June 27th 2022
at Sunnybrook Veterans Hospital in Toronto.
Dad was predeceased by his beautiful wife, Rita (2001)
and was the proud father of six children,
Peter (Rosanne), Jerome (d. 2020), Joanne (Ed d. 2009),
Richard (Elizabeth), Paul (Carol) and Don.
Guy was loved by his seven grandchildren (PJ, Melissa,
Joel, Alycia, Nick, Chantelle and Paige) and his three
great-grandchildren (Owen, Hanna and Lily).
Dad served in the Canadian Army for 28 years as a member of the
PPCLI 2nd Battalion and fought with the United Nations forces in the Korean War.
He was a very active member of several military associations including the
Korean Veterans Association, the Airborne Regiment, the
Army Navy Air Force Association and the Royal Canadian Legion.
Guy will be sadly missed and always
remembered by his many relatives and friends.
At Guy’s and the family’s request, cremation has taken place.
A graveside service will take place on Sunday, July 17th 2022 at 2:00pm
at Angus Union Cemetery, 60 Vernon Street, Angus, ON

would be appreciated by the family.
