Obituary for Harold Dawson Laycock
Harold Dawson Laycock, formerly of Essa Township, passed away peacefully
at Lakeland Long Term Care Centre, Parry Sound, ON,
on Saturday March 4, 2023 (with family by his side) in his 92nd year.
Harold was born on February 9th, 1932, and is the son of the late
Russel and Pearl (nee Armstrong) Laycock and is survived by his wife Lenora Laycock (nee; Brolley).
Harold will be forever cherished as a loving father of William Laycock,
John Laycock and his wife Iris Laycock, Terry Schneider and her husband Doug Schneider.
Harold is predeceased by his daughter Colleen Laycock and daughter in-law Rona Smyth.
Harold will also be remembered fondly by his ten grandchildren, as well as his 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition, he is survived by his sister Lorna McCracken.
Harold is predeceased by his brothers Max, Martin, Bill and Ted and by his sisters
Betty Hayward, Catherine (Cookie) Skelton and Dorothy Henning.
Harold will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families.
Harold was known for his love of boating and fishing, for his passion for woodworking
and building homes, for playing baseball, his humour and devotion to his family.

Living Faith Community Presbyterian Church, 206 Murphy Road, Egbert, ON,
on Saturday March 18th, 2023, from 10:00am until the time of the service at 11:00am.
A reception gathering with food and fellowship will follow the service.
