SMITH, Helen Viola (nee; Willcock)
of Barrie, passed away peacefully
at Matthews House Hospice in Alliston,
on Wednesday, December 7th 2022 in her 93rd year.
Helen was born to Nelson and Isabell Willcock
on August, 16th 1930 in Markdale, ON
Beloved wife of the late Sidney Smith and Keith McGirr.
Loving mother of son Beverley and his wife Marilyn of Meaford, daughter Cindy of Barrie
and son Shane and his wife Darlene of Pickering.
Cherished grandmother of Holly (Daryl), Ryan (Gabby), Rob (Christine), Sonny, Kyle (Evelyn),
Warren (Kira) and Laurie Shannon (Kevin).
Dear great-grandmother of Kian, Ella, Carson, Callen,
Zach, Brooklyn, Liam, Cullen, Grace and Ellie.
Predeceased by her son Wayne.
Helen worked for Wrigleys Canada Inc. for 23 years.
Helen enjoyed travelling and dancing at
community country jam sessions.
She also enjoyed her time spent in Port Severn.
Helen will always be lovingly remembered and
sadly missed by her relatives and friends.
At Helen’s and the family’s request,
cremation has taken place.
No service is scheduled at this time.
