Obituary for Peter Christakos
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Peter Christakos of Barrie, Ont.
Peter (Aka -Tuck) was born and raised in Sudbury. In 2002 he moved his family to Barrie to start his own concrete construction business. Tuck was a very hard worker and took much pride in his work. He worked in the construction field for 35 yrs and was a business owner for the last 23. Family meant a lot to Peter, he loved his wife and children deeply.
He is survived by his wife of 30 yrs Bonnie Leahy and was a proud father of 3 beautiful children, Sharley Tessa Trudeau (Evin Bekeschus), Nicholas Kosta (Yael Guy), and Shane Patrick (Dayna Dury). Peter was also a cherished grandfather of Sharley's newly born baby girl Sindal.
He was a loving son of Constantino and Polyexini Christakos (Predeceased) and a dear brother of Steve Christakos (Lina), Alexia (Michel Chenier), and Tony Christakos (Justeen).
He will be sadly missed by many Sister and Brother In-Laws, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grand Nieces and Nephews and many, many friends
Peter was quite the gear head. He loved F1 Racing so extreme that it was his daily driving habit. On his days off Peter enjoyed his time with his wife and kids. His
sons Nick and Shane had many friends over at the house. Peter enjoyed spending time with all of them and was like a second father to many. His home was their home and he loved them all deeply. He was kind, caring and always made you feel welcome. Peter always had a open door policy. His home was your home.
Peter will be remembered as a humble, hard working business man that loved and lived for his family.
Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church,486 Ester Rd. Interment to follow and Civic Memorial Cemetery.
